Bold City Opening Downtown Location

Local and highly successful brewery Bold City is planning to open up a brewery and taproom in downtown Jacksonville at 109 E. Bay Street, next to the Cowford Chophouse. The space is owned by Jacques Klempf, who purchased the property for additional kitchen space for the Cowford Chophouse, which is currently under construction. The space will serve as a test kitchen for Bold City, who will produce small batch and special promotional releases, in addition to their full lineup which includes Killer Whale Cream Ale, Duke’s Brown Ale and Mad Manatee IPA. The brewery is expected to open up in August or September of 2016. This will be the second Riverside HQ’d brewery to make a move into downtown, after Intuition Ale announced earlier in the year that they intend to make the move into downtown near Ever Bank Field.

Carole Hawkins with the Daily Record covered the story.
