Jacksonville Looking Good According to Senior Economist with BBVA Compass

According to a recent article regarding the Jacksonville economy, “Jacksonville is on pace with national trends in breaking out of the post-recession recovery”. Shushanik Papanyan, senior economist with BBVA Compass said “There’s real growth and job creation” in Jacksonville, and that we are in good shape when compared to other metros, as well as the state of Florida.

Key Stats:
–  Unemployment Rate is 5% (5.1% nationally; 5.4% statewide)
–  Payroll Growth is 3.4% (2.3% nationally)
–  GDP is 3.6%
