New Restaurants Planned in Northeast Florida

The Bearded Pig / San Marco- One of the former owners of Bistro Aix is planning a BBQ restaurant and beer-garden for the San Marco neighborhood. The restaurant is planning on going into a 2,400 square foot building on Kings Avenue, just south of the I-95 overpass.

Alexa Epitropoulos with the Jacksonville Business Journal covered the story.

The Floridian Relocation / St. Augustine- Iconic restaurant in the heart of downtown St. Augustine, The Floridian, is relocating from its existing location on Cordova Street, to a new spot on Spanish Street a few blocks away. The new location was built in 1904 and has been vacant for about 10 years. Rather than renovating the current location, which they leased, the owners of the restaurant decided to buy their own building, and customize the build out. The new location will have 150 seats, and should be open in about 3 weeks, just in time for Labor Day and the big 450th Celebration.
