Talent Pool, Quality of Life, Climate and Airport Among Factors to Win International Bank Site Selection

A “very robust” search that included over 20 economic-development factors and narrowed the site from 17 cities in five countries, including 10 in the U.S., was concluded this week with Macquarie Group choosing JAX for its Global Financial Services site that will create some 123 jobs downtown, averaging about $64k/year.  They will occupy some 20-25k SF of space downtown in a yet-undisclosed office building, presumably one of the office towers.  There are options for additional growth, depending upon the success of the initial phase.  Karen Brune Mathis of The JAX Daily Record has the announcement.
