Topgolf may be coming to Jacksonville

Topgolf, an entertainment company who owns and operates high tech driving ranges, may have its sights set on Jacksonville. According to a story by Roger Bull with the Florida Times Union, Topgolf is exploring the idea of opening a complex just east of the St. Johns Town Center on 15 acres owned by the Skinner family. Topgolf offers a unique golfing experience, where players can track performance measures, such as accuracy and distance, from an air conditioned “bay”, which comes complete with food and beverage service. In addition, the facility would offer amenities such as a restaurant, a bar and private party venue space. The closest and only Topgolf in Florida is in Tampa, and opened last year.
