JAXPORT Racing After Porsche Opportunity Now in Brunswick

After winning over sister-company VW, JAXPORT is going after Porsche’s import business in Brunswick.  (VW cars began arriving this week in JAX, that will import an estimated 100k vehicles each year).  Porsche has been using the Port of Brunswick since 2002 when it moved from Charleston, but rumor has it that Porsche is putting out an RFP to re-locate its import business.  Its biggest European competitor, BMW, uses the Port of Charleston to export is Greenville-made X series to dealers in Europe and South America.  Jensen Werley has the story for the JAX Business Journal.
