Volkswagen to Begin Shipping Thru JaxPort

Over 100 new jobs are expected to be generated as VW begins using JaxPort for shipping vehicles. The company already has a parts distribution center in Jax, and will now use the port to bring “VW’s from Mexico and Audi’s from Germany”. JaxPort is a big player in the automotive shipping business, having exported more automobiles last year than any other port in the nation (450K vehicles in 2014).
