Jax Gets State Grant for Medical Tourism

Jacksonville was recently awarded a nearly $100,000 state grant to promote “medical tourism” in the area. The grant is a matching grant, so Visit Jacksonville and its medical partners will bring the total to $200,000±. The money will be used to “promote the cities existing medical infrastructure” and to “promote the city itself as a destination for the healthcare industry”.
