JAX Downtown Investment Authority Nearing True Authority

Two years after the Downtown Investment Authority was launched, it is nearing having teeth in its, well, authority.  It has sailed through five City Council committees and now faces its last approval, a City Council vote next week that will allow it to control its own purse strings and such things as approving incentives.  Andrew Thurlow has the story here for the JAX Business Journal.
