Residential Building Permits Up in 2014 – Highest Point Since 2007

Single-family building permits in the JAX region totaled 6,076 in 2014, about 2% higher than in 2013, and well above the 4,257 and 3,151 tallied in 2012 and 2011, respectively.  In fact the 2014 total was the highest since 2007 when 6,830 were pulled, but still well below the unhealthy peak of almost 18k in 2005 and even 11k in 2006.  Roger Bull of The Florida Times-Union has the stats from the Northeast Florida Builders Association.
