EverBank Center Downtown Appears to Win Citizens Property Insurance Mega-Lease

Drew Dixon of The Florida Times-Union reports that the EverBank Center tower downtown has apparently won the bidding war for a 234k SF office lease in one of the largest office leases in recent memory, particularly downtown.  With Downtown’s coup, it will be Southside’s loss, vacating about 211k SF but spread out over three different buildings.  Final negotiations for the 10-year lease are ongoing and an official announcement is not expected until November 19th; then off to a department for final execution.  They would re-locate the Southside jobs to downtown in 2015; plus about 148 jobs from Tallahassee and Tampa would come to JAX.
