Colliers International Northeast Florida Brokers the Sale of Bellinger Shipyards

Colliers International Northeast Florida recently sold the Bellinger Shipyards property to a local developer who plans to develop a 590 unit condominium project, which will include a marina component and up to 60,000 SF of commercial office or retail space. Colliers brokers Robert Selton and Hobart Joost, Jr. represented the seller, MD Moody & Sons. The buyer, Jacksonville Intercostal, LLC, which is managed by local developer Jeff Klotz, was represented by Colliers broker Paul Scull. The property features over 1,000 feet of frontage on the Intercostal Waterway, just north of the Atlantic Boulevard bridge. The property also includes title to a 10± acre basin of water adjacent to the property for marina development. The property was a former industrial shipyard, and will require a lot of work prior to the condo development, including demolition of the existing structures and environmental remediation. Andrew Thurlow of the Jacksonville Business Journal has the story.
