Net Lease Investors Devour Restaurant Assets- From NREI

A recent story by Jennifer Popovec with NREI mirrors several recent posts that support the trend that investors are showing a strong preference for retail properties (including restaurants) over office, industrial and other property types. The story cites that investors make decisions based on personal experience. All investors are consumers of retail products in some fashion, which is why it should come to no surprise that retail cap rates are lower than other investment assets listed for sale. According to the story, Americans are eating out more and more, showing an increase in preferences for eating out as opposed to preparing meals at home.
